Facebook PPC - The One Cent Clicks

First off I will have a full download section with specific areas referral links etc. I will try and treat this blog as a journal because if I try and make it to fancy, it will be a pain in the ass to update.

That's the last thing I need is something else to do that's a pain in the ass. I'm still trying to figure out what the best way is to offer content to the readers. Of course it's a gateway locker, but I don't want people to have to unlock crap every single time. That sucks!

However Sharecash.org is a nice alternative and the surveys are easy to complete for your download. A lot of people say the money that you can make with Sharecash would be 10X with Adsendmedia. I like Sharecash, because you can set up how to complete the survey, before they have to actually do it. (I will explain how I do it later).

With facebook PPC I have been trying a ton of methods, some were really paying off, and others lost money right away. So far I have spent about $650 and made about $800 over various CPA networks.

Here is the total of what I've done so far:

I haven't had any issues with getting my ads approved, other then it take long sometimes. I create a landing page for the offers and Facebook mods seemed to really like that.

BTW: I'm promoting mostly CPA offers with a few Clickbank products. I just don't think people are on Facebook trying to buy things. Free offers are the best.

GETTING CHEAP CLICKS
There has been two ways I have gotten cheap clicks:
1. Get the viewing audience up to 27 million!
2. Get the viewing audience really really tight to a specific nich.

They haven't been .01 but they have been pretty close. The last 7 days of the first offer on the list is down to about .04 cents. If you are running a CPA offer that pays out $1.30 you have 32 clicks for someone fill it out to break even.

That sounds like a lot, but it's not!! Look at the network EPC and use one that is high so you are covered. It will actually tell you what the EPC is for that offer. You should be paying lower then that for clicks. (Don't forget you lose some on the landing page!!)

Today I just changed some ads that were performing well, but not cheap enough to CPM (Cost per 1000). I am waiting for those to get approved, then we will see how much luck I have with that.

I'm Back and Smarter

Hi Everyone, I'm back. I have learned a lot. It's been close to a year since my last post and with good reason. I thought this would all be a lot easier, but it's not.

The good news is that I'm still in it, and I'm earning money. There really is no good way to walk through everything that I've learned so I will post it as I update things. I will try and update this, in a candid conversational way. I will also offer downloads to things that I find on the internet for free. There are tons of programs that rip people off that I get for free, that I will share.

I will share as long as I can, until someone tells me not to. It will be locked behind a content locker - it's only fair. :)

The key to following this blog will be the Tags. Use the tags to read about methods that I am using, I will use them as effectively as possible when posting information. This will be a win-win.

I will be as transparent as possible. The reason being, it's a lot of hardwork that most people will not be willing to put in, so I'm not worried about the competition. Matter of fact - Bring it on!!

Crazy for On-line Money - The $5 Deal

Contributing to this blog has come a lot easier now that I have realized that everyone is possibly struggling with the same s@#t that I am, trying to make money online. When you read all the reports everything is the same, over and over. It makes everything sound as easy as 1, 2, 3. If it was that easy, then everyone who set up a blog would be rich. It's tough work; that’s why Shoemoney can charge $497 for his program. At first I thought the ad said a $497 value. I was expecting to see a price of $19.99. NO! That s#$t is $497, homie!

Lesson number one of any program should tell you that in order to be successful at this online money game, you kinda, sorta, have to like doing this. Even if your goal is only to make money, you still have to like doing this, and being a little crazy helps. Why? Because for some period of time you will be blogging for 16 hits a week and 5 of those will be from you getting your post of the week format just right. Your Google Adsense totals for the month will be like $.08. Nowhere does anyone ever tell you it’s going to be this hard, but if you like it, then you don’t really care. If that $.08 was $.04 last month, then you have just doubled your money. So there are a lot of things that I’m learning and rather then share the successes I will just share everything.

One thing that I wouldn’t call a success but I would call an obsess. No, not an obsession but just something that is cool and has been helpful. www.fiverr.com It’s a site that you can use to get things done for $5.00. There are literally thousands of things that people will do for you for $5.00. When you are looking through all of the things you are amazed. "How can someone create a logo for my company for only $5.00!!!" "A banner for my blog for $5.00!!!" Then you realize that some of these people are all over the world. So $5.00 in NYC is not the same as $5.00 in India. If you are trying to get your promotion on then I advise seeing what fiverr has to offer. Skip your Starbucks (I know everyone uses that reference, but it’s sooo true).
For just $5.00 I got this Youtube video done for one of my CPA Lead Sites. This video, script read, exactly how I wanted delivered in a wmv file for only $5.00. Check it out.

Tips for ordering from Fiverr.com
1. For any order there is no reason to choose someone who doesn’t have a positive feedback rating. There are enough people doing the same things, to find one that is highly rated.

2. If the task is something that an example can be provided for, then an example should be there. It only makes since.

3. Paying for someone to tweet you message is not that effective – work on getting your own Tweeps (Twitter talk for Peeps).

4. Getting 8,500 people to your facebook page – is worth it.

A few changes, it's not all about money....well maybe not

As you can see, I think I have been going about this blog all wrong. Content and user interaction is key, without that you are just like every other blog.

I cleaned up the format, removing all the stupid ads on both sides. My original plan was, more ads, more clicks more money. Well there were no clicks, and it was just cluttering up my blog, and readers were not happy! So I removed the 3 column format and widened the content and will only run small ads to programs that I am actually using, and websites that I own.

WORDPRESS
I wanted to move to Wordpress but I have a bunch of backlinks and stuff still tied to this url, but I would like to give a bit of advice. Wordpress, using your own hosting service is the way you should start. Blogger is great if you don't plan to do more then just blog, but the amount of plugins that Wordpress offers, just can't be beat. If you plan to use CPA Lead, then go to Wordpress right away, they even have a plug-in!

This blog because of it's content gets the most traffic (so far) out of any of the others, so I want to keep the traffic coming.

In the future posts will be much more frequent, informational with more details. I literally do hours of work per night, and that work is not shared with my readers; now that's going to change.

Please continue to come back and comment and interact, and I will start posting much more frequently.

Using Twitter - How 2 Get 2000 Followers in 1 Week!

So I have been just compiling and creating websites with CPA Lead. I can’t get enough of the interface and the earning potential.

The problem that we all face is, “what good is a website if you can’t promote it”. I read recently that Kim Kardashain gets $20,000 for posting stuff on her twitter account.
So I figured I would start using Twitter as a promotion tool and the results have been somewhat positive. Here is what I’ve learned so far:

GETTING FOLLOWERS:

This is the method:
1. Go to http://tweepml.org/follow/?q=follow

2. Find lists that say something like follow back, here are some of the good lists:

Don’t follow lists that have people in that don’t follow back.
There is a limit about 1000 people you can follow per day. Something like that.
Also you will get back more followers than the number of people you will follow.
Just know that everybody doesn’t follow right after you follow them so it might take some time.
You can easily get up to 1k followers per day with this method.

IMPORTANT
You must maintain a Followers to Following ratio of around 85% so after you follow each list, wait for the followbacks to come In before trying to follow the next list. You are now on these lists so you will continue to receive more followers everyday. Follow them back, so you maintain the integrity of the list.

MARKETING
Then I go to

I schedule to have my twitter messages advertising my blogs, and CPA lead sites every few hours.
People can see that the tweets are from future tweets, but the message still get out there.

Now I’m sure there are better, quicker, faster ways, and would love for some feedback, but for now this is what I did and it appears to be working.

Hands down CPA Lead is my biggest money earner because of all the possibilities that it brings. There is no doubt that you will have to have more then one site to really make any money but one of my lazier (no interaction needed sites) is this one here.

Ebay, Where we get Stuff from and What we Sell it For

As promised we will continue to hit you with the realness. There is no bull being sold here just tips to help us all make money. We are almost like the magician who reveals the tricks behind the tricks (I hate that guy) but it’s like revealing them to other magicians, because we are all here for the same reason.

It's deep into July and we have a bunch of blogs in full swing, working Traffic Wave, launched our first CPA project (there will be more on that weather it’s successful or fails miserably ) and now it’s time to get back to something that we actually do quite well….sell on eBay.

THE ANATOMY OF AQUIRING INVENTORY
There ‘s no magic button here, just brute force, discipline and a little luck (I like to think we make our own luck).

Let's Go!
Every morning I check a dozen sites as part of my daily routine. One such site is Woot. Woot is a site that has one product for sale per day at a super low price (sometimes).
They sell one item until it is sold out or until 11:59pm central time when it is replaced . Each item they sell is in stock and typically ships within 2-3 business days.
So the last week during my daily check I noticed they had Kodak Digital Cameras! Yes! Now according to the Woot rules, you are only allowed to purchase 3 of any one item, however we have two accounts so if the item is good enough, and these cameras were, we buy 6!

buy, and I mean no matter what, or how many it’s only $5.00 to ship! Seriously, one time they had a Washer and Dryer and it was only $5.00 to ship.

Now even though it’s cheap, 6 12 MP Kodak digital cameras are going to add up, and you are going to be out of that money until they sell, which could be months or never! Don’t worry they will still make a great Christmas gift. How much money are we talking about? Good question. Let’s talk details:
Kodak 12 Megapixel Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom $49.99 Each X 6 = $299.94
Shipping $5.00 X 2 orders = $10.00
Total = $309.94
We now have $300 bones at risk, but not totally at risk because we have 6 Kodaks. A Good name brand, a solid camera and a good standing eBay account.
From past experience we know that it’s hard to move any camera under 12MP these days. There is way too much competition with the 10 MP because every electronic store is trying to purge their inventory of old technology. They might sell but it would be a slow sell, and we are out $309.94 so the clock is ticking. Note these camera’s are $50 because they are reconditioned but we have moved plenty of reconditioned items before. So the confidence is there. (Note the reciept shown is for 3, we did that twice).
With a 100% positive feedback rating, Powerseller eBay status and a solid selling history we can charge slightly more and still make a sale over our competitors. Pricing isn’t everything but it’s a lot of things.
Now we determine our listing price. To do so we use our trusty homemade Excel Sheet for pricing. Remember we have inflated the Paypal fees and Ebay fees so we can be confident in our profit calculations.

It looks like this:
Each Unit Total Cost $51.66 ((Purchase Price + Total Shipping) / 6)
Ebay Listing Fee: $.20
Pay Pal Selling Fee (aprox 7%) $5.28
Estimated Actual Shipping Cost: 7.50
Estimated eBay Fee (aprox. 11%): $7.92
So to sell this item on Ebay we have to clear $63.64 Just to break even!! This is how people get burnt. They don’t realize that you need to mark up a $50 item by at least $13.00 to break even. That’s a 27% mark-up!

So we will set our sell price for $65.99. It looks like we will only clear $2.35 but now we get to charge our buyers shipping!! Which will be $8.65 for shipping. That will have us clear $10.00 per sale. So we should make a total of $60 when we sell all 6. Now because we used $7.50 as an average shipping estimate that will vary depending on actual shipping cost by location.
$60 is a 20% gain on our money! You can’t beat that. Right now it’s all speculation. The cameras have arrived today (July 14, 2010) and will be posted this weekend. Let’s see if we can make our 20%.

Ordinary People - That's how we all Start Off

Ok, so we have taken a week or two to do some exploring and I have to say that I am really starting to hate Shoemoney, John Chow, and all the others. Not because they do anything wrong, but because it just seems like everything they do is right! I think what they don’t realize is that once you have millions and millions of readers or even a thousand or so followers, you can fart silently and someone would be willing to sign up under an affiliate link for it. You can wipe your butt and someone would buy that as an e-book. There is a point where it just becomes too hard to fail. I watched Bill Cosby on George Lopez last week. If any other comedian would have told the jokes that he told, they would have been yanked off stage, but the enigma that is Bill Cosby is so large that it worked. I even found myself laughing – as I do when downloading a John Chow E-book. Because of his greatness…the audience was more patient. Some of us small time bloggers get frustrated because we are better writers, and promoters then those guys but their audience gives them more patience and tolerance. They now have the luxury of doing less and it going 10 times further then any effort you put forward. You see the weak-ass posts that get 114 comments. I bet Shoemoney can type “Ahem” and get 60 comments….my hat goes off to him because he has done the work to deserve that respect, and I actually think he appreciates it and realizes just how valuable it is.

REGULAR PEOPLE
When you have time and money you can hire techies to design your sites, debug your Wordpress blogs etc. Us regular people are in chat rooms, asking questions in forums and trying to write E-zine articles to promote our blogs. It’s a sad existence, but it’s one that must be had in order to make money on line. To be honest, I’m actually starting to enjoy it. I’m to the point where a dream vacation would be me, my laptop in a hotel with room service for a week. I think if I had a week of playtime, I could double my earnings. ....and that, with a lot less information. If they can do it, so can we. Just don’t get conned into thinking that you are going to be them in 30 days. Instead find blogs that are down to earth, written by real people with real stats. Blogs that you can actually track the progress, and see the start of new ideas. I have been doing a lot of that this past week and really came up with some solid findings. During my ventures I learned of two new programs: Yottacash and CPAlead. Just like everything, the more traffic you have the more you can earn but it’s OK to tell people to do stuff with these programs C.P.A. stands for Click Per Action. If people fill out surveys they unlock content that they are interested in. You can actually tell them to fill out the suvey! The other site that I found extremely useful that I have only read about until yesterday is fiverr.com. You can get people to do anything for $5.00. I ended up spending $25 getting people to do stuff for site promotion. I had someone tweet my url to 54,000 twitter followers for $5.00. Now that’s money well spent.

INBETWEENERS
I also found two notable blogs. These are the inbetweeners. Inbetweeners aren’t mega millionaires but they are also not like me making $20 per day (on a good day). They are full time on-line money makers.

At first blush the site looks ordinary, created with a generic template, but it’s got so much information, and all fact, reality based. This dude is the truth. You can follow his progress from $0.00 all the way till now. No nonsense, just reality. If you dig around enough on his site you can find a lot of his other sites, and the more you learn the more you begin to respect his genius.

The other blog that’s nice, well not the blog itself but the man behind the blog is James Colin. This is not your run of the mill adsense ad placement tips, but some down and dirty, real money making stuff. That’s the kind of information we live and die for!!!

WTF! WE CAN'T GET MORE AFFILIATES - NOW WHAT

This is why people quit this on line marketing stuff. We can't get anymore affiliates - we are helping other people, but for some reason our personal progress has slowed.

WE DON’T ASK FRIENDS- WE MAKE NEW ONES

This just sucks! ....and no, we won't go ask our friends. We are not trying to make our friends business partners, we are trying to make new friends of like minds. My friends are good for drinking, clubbing, and going to the game, but they are not cut out for this online stuff. I could just hear them now, "I logged in, how come there is no money in my Paypal account". You don't think so? I know so, I tried it twice and both times it failed. They were laid off and I was just starting so I figured it would be a good idea to pull them into this online money thing I was investigating, but they just sat back and waited for me to do everything. They didn't want to help themselves. Then when I found a legit program, no scam with free 30 days and told them that if they got moving they could get 3 referrals and never have to pay. They sat on their asses for 30 days, I had 3 referrals in 3 weeks. But if they weren’t helping themselves I wasn’t going to do everything for them. I have paid people’s way into this system and had them up and running so they never had to spend a dime, but those are people who want it.

I figure if you stumble onto this site, it's because you have the right mindset of someone who takes action. That puts you ahead of 90% of everyone else. That mindset is typically on Traffic Exchanges and reading my blogs, that mindset I love and need to be around!

THE PROBLEM

The problem at hand is that our advice is working for everyone else but not us. We have 72 people in our down line for crying out loud. Don't believe me, here take a peek:

We talk on facebook and email and exchange tips. If you are in my downline we bounce ideas off one another and all that good stuff, and people tell me all the time, "Wow that was a great idea". When they are successful of course I earn more. No doubt about it, but I am more successful if I can get new people and help them be successful as well.

THE FIX

For one I think our ad has run it’s course. We can’t use our faces because if my day job Knew that I was making this money they would certainly find a problem with it. Now it’s time to get creative – hell we only need one direct member per month. That’s all!

Here’s the game plan:

FIRST: Let’s go surfing on the Traffic Exchanges and find out what attracts us. What catches my eye, and why. What are they saying that we are not saying. Let me remind you, I have yet found a system better then the one we are using. I sign up get the information and see how other systems work but nothing has convinced me that it’s better then TEP profits. Not to mention most of the information I receive if from a Traffic Wave autoresponder at that!!

SECOND: Read every forum and blog for tips I can get my hands on: John Chow, Shoemoney, Blogengage, BlogCatalog, TrafficWave

THIRD: Change all the banners on my site to reflect Traffic Wave, and Affiliate programs. Amazon has not netted me any money so why take up space with their ads for mow. Maybe when I get more traffic, my Amazon banners will be more effective

FOURTH: Still keep up with the Traffic Exchanges and building credits for my site. I am making Traffic Exchange commission’s as well so I don’t want to jeopardize that money.

I MUST ACT NOW!

Do these things now. Don’t let the fire burn out. Be aware of “The Law of Diminishing Intent”. Stay hungry and get it done now, because just one new member is enough to feed us for 30 days – not to mention we like to work with our new members so getting 20 member at once would not allow us enough time to bring each one up to speed…..but there are three of us; so we welcome the challenge.

I will post what I find, if it works and how well. That’s what this site is all about, learning and sharing – I know that sounds sappy but it’s true! Enough of the sappy crappy, time to get off my ass – There’s money to be made!!

Ebay - The Anatomy of a Refund

TELL ME SOMETHING I DON’T KNOW!
I think the most frustrating thing is that all of the books that you purchase on the subject of EBay never really tell you anything that you don't know. All the websites and blogs tell you to:

1. Check your attic,
2. Take some pictures
3. Start selling.

After you are done selling all your useless junk and if you escape that without getting a negative feedback now what do you do? How do you make money? How do you become profitable despite all the EBay, Paypal and shipping fees? There are no intermediate guide
s to help the "baby" EBayer. The E-Baby if you will. That's where we hopefully fill a void. We are that place for Affiliate Marketing, Blogging and Ebaying. Our posts will act as a history walk through as we get better at all three on-line money earning techniques. Best of all - we are completely honest. Everything we try at and fail at, we will let you know. We don't care about being embarrassed. We want to build a site where people can come and comment with their experiences as well. A community of lessons learned – which sounds better then A community of dumb-ass mistakes. Either works for us.

MEMORIAL DAY BOOM!
All of a sudden post Memorial Day the EBay site was running on all cylinders again. What we are trying to do is offer a diverse product line up so we could attract many different types of visitors to our store. By calling it a “Gift Store” and having categories with dollar ranges it feels like a place to go if you are looking for a deal. All last week we hadn't sold one freakin thing. During slow sales we are always tempted to drop our prices to help move things forward but from our experience, it's never necessary to take a loss. If you have good enough feedback and ratings, and are not priced crazy, eventually you will sell your item.

The first batch of sales from Memorial Day weekend we decided to ship everything priority; breaking even on some items so we could get some great feedback. That feedback is like bait for buyers who could possibly be lurking and observing the site. We cast the line with that feedback worm and snag a few more buyers! Cha-ching! That’s the sound it makes when you catch an Ebuyer!

ANATOMY OF A REFUND
This week we also had a blender that didn't work. The numbers: Blender cost $12.71 including Tax.
Here is the link to the posting. We charged $24.99 (looks better then $25) and $12.50 Shipping. The actual cost to ship it was $12.97 so we incur a slight loss on shipping but we end up making a whopping $9.64 profit on the deal. Wow think about that. We have a $12.71 blender and we end up getting a 75% return on our money. We have sold 12 of these puppies and the feedback has been:” Blender works great and it shipped within days great buy and service”
But then on Friday my cell phone rings with a weird number. “Hello” Hi this is “so & so” and I brought a blender from you and it’s not even spinning.
Now I’m still wondering how the heck she got my number and my name and she is still talking, I haven’t heard the rest of what she was saying.
But you know what? It didn’t matter. I told her to keep the blender and I would refund her money immediately including shipping fees. Here’s why.

I have 100% positive feedback rating. You don’t want to mess that up for anything. People will buy from you over another person, and even pay slightly more because of it.
I believed her, why would you make something up like that, unless you are a real nut job.
If I told her to send it back that would cost her another $12.71 and I would have a broken blender that I would try and send back to the manufacturer. My time is worth more then that.

So I told her, “Maam we have a no questions asked exchange policy – your money will be refunded in the next hour, feel free to put the blender in your driveway and run over it or re-gift it to someone you hate”. She couldn’t believe it – thanked my profusely and hung up the phone. After getting her refund she gave me the following feedback: EXCELLENT SELLER A+++++ REALLY TAKES CARE OF BUYERS AWESOME PLEASANT TRANSACTION

How much am I out: $27.85!! Cost of the Blender, shipping costs, and Ebay seller fees. I think that’s a small price to pay for a great feedback and to maintain my 100% Feedback rating. That feedback alone will get more sales, anyone on the fence about buying from me will read that and feel good.
I recommend a return policy. We have sold over 274 items this year and that’s our first return. Not too bad – and yes it’s worth it.

By the way – the buyer can call ebay and your cell phone, name and address will get mailed to them, you will get a notice, but by then…..it’s too late.
If you would like a EBay pricing sheet: What to charge for an item you purchased to make profit, we can email it to you in an excel file. It’s just a guideline but it works like a charm!

John Chow Mistakes, Traffic Exchange Commissions and our Addictions!

TRAFFIC EXCHANGE NUMBERS ARE LOOKING GOOD

Heading into Memorial Day weekend and we are slowly but steady increasing our affiliate marketing numbers.

The real impact has been traffic exchange commissions and referrals, here is a snapshot of our inbox in the last 8 days and a picture of what TEProfit says your inbox could look like. Click the Images they get bigger so you can see the detail.

Super nice..right? We are pretty happy with those results; and with everything in affiliate marketing, growth is exponential. One key is joining exchanges that give free random referrals. So you just have to be active and then Poof, you get a referral. That’s like somebody dropping 2 minutes back into your life. For every hour that referral surfs, I need to surf like 2 minutes less. So if and when you get 30 referrals you are done surfing!!! As you can see there are two Traffic Hoopla sign ups which mean they will then signup under me in 10 other Exchanges. Yeaahhh Buddy!

WE DODGED CHOW’S MISTAKES!
The other good thing that’s always nice to know, is that we are doing things right in the beginning. When John Chow was asked what were his two biggest mistakes in blogging….His reply was:

1. Not having a mailing list in the beginning and

2. Using his name as the URL.

I think we got lucky because we started using TEProfit which uses Traffic Wave. Traffic Wave gives you the “Name” and “Email” bars you see on the left of this site. When you fill that out, and get the free E-books you also join our mailing list. BOOYAH!!

MORE CONVERSION NUMBERS – TRUE FOR ANY PROGRAM

When we get someone to sign up and join our program – the conversion is not nearly as good as you would expect. So from our early post, we know that it takes roughly 1750 page views to get one sign up. That’s a lot of page views! That sign up starts to receive emails using Traffic Wave’s autoresponder, very similar to John Chow’s approach to marketing on Click bank. (You can read that here) The issue is that it takes over 20 sign ups to convert to one Affiliate member in Traffic Wave.

This means I need 35,000 Page Views!!

Thir….thir…..Thirty Five Freakin’ Thousand!!!

This is real. So I’m sure with any program the numbers are close to the same. This is why you can’t expect to make a million dollars overnight, but it’s also why you can’t quit. With no referrals my capture page is getting 3,500 views per week so I’m on track for one sign up every 10 weeks. But with referrals helping me surf, I’m getting about 4000 per week which equals: 8.75 weeks per sign-up. Our target is one per month so we can get the fastrack bonus!!

HOW CAN WE IMPROVE?
So we have racked our brains on trying to improve those numbers. Blogging helps for sure. My last two signups have been through FTB Blogger blogs. One from this blog and one from the banner that we are running on TV Smack Talk. TV Smack talk has only been running for about 1 week and has gotten less then 300 hits but it’s an audience unfamiliar with online money so we were the first program they were exposed to. Sweet – we will take it!!! Then we use our friends on facebook. Instead of blasting a message to everyone, I see whose doing what and try and tailor the message, and of course there’s just some people you know who are looking for opportunity. If you get one person through networking every 8 weeks, along with the Traffic Exchange bringing in one every 8.75 weeks, you will reach your sign up goal of 1 per month (which is all that is needed to make five figures).

ADDICTED TO STACKED INCOME

The good thing with TEProfits is that we can earn money not only though Traffic Wave, but also through Traffic Exchange Commissions, Ebook sales, and TEProfits. That’s why the book that you start off with is called “Stacked Income” because that’s exactly what you are doing.

It’s addicting because right now we can do nothing and continue to earn over $50 per month. I know that’s not a lot, but that’s basically a Cell phone payment. We are thinking about when that $50 because $200, and then that $200 because $500. That’s what keeps us going. Don’t forget only 4 weeks ago that $50 was $25 – so we are heading in the right direction….and having fun while we do it.

New Blog site highs & Ebay Lows!

Ok, so the past week we have been concentrating our efforts on launching our newest blog: http://www.tvsmacktalk.com/.
It’s innovative because it allows the public to create their own blog posts and encourages commenting. We use a form that can only be created with Wordpress.org that allows the reader to fill out and submit their own post. It took a little work to set up but it will be worth it…just imagine a blog that virtually runs itself. The post that receives the most comments wins a monthly prize. The theory is, If I post something I’m going to get my friends to read it and comment so I can win the prize, therefore generating more traffic for the site. It’s genius in theory – the execution will be the key.

The TV theme is great because it allows a casual internet surfer to stumble on to the blog and then see banners for earning money online. We could be their first exposure to On-line money! This is something that the John Chow’s and Shoemoney’s don’t really have. Wait, I take that back. They have it because they are the top spots in Google, but they don’t have a way to get to that person that’s not even looking or doesn’t even know about earning money on line….yet. We are casting a wide net.

Now we are just promoting, promoting and promoting. We have created a check list with 9 promotional activities and will do all 9 for each blog in our network over, and over until our visitor numbers are at a acceptable rate. Not to mention continuing to keep the informative, funny, inquisitive posts coming. Once we have dialed in our blog traffic increasing check list, we will offer a link for downloading. Right now it’s a little rough!!

EBAY
Ebay has been quite a disappointment this week and last week to say the least. We were closing in on the $100 per week mark and then we took a break to foucs on the blog set up. When we started the store back up, we saw our sales fall off a cliff. We only made $17.00 profit last week, and we are only up to about half that ($8 stinkin’ dollars) this week. We posted some pretty hot stuff Sunday night so we started off the week very optimistic; and will get some more stuff posted on Saturday. One of my rules is to NEVER lower prices to generate sales but I am getting anxious and want to jump strat things.

EBAY - MOTION CREATES MOTION
There is something about ebay- the more you use it, posting stuff, answering questions, selling, sending shipment confirmation, etc. the more you sell. I’m not sure if you can increase your visibility with activity but there is some correlation. Before we start lowering any prices we are going to get all of our inventory posted, and change a bunch of posts to generate some activity in the store and see if it has any effect.

MLM & Traffic Exchanges - The Numbers Are In!!

So here are some rough conversion stats. We have been running now only one ad on the traffic exchanges and we have gotten 2 conversions in 7 days averaging roughly 500 page views per day. The pictures below are from the Traffic Wave Ad Tracker. (A Powerful Tool).
OUR CONVERSION RATE
As you can see from the chart below we got one on May 5th and one on May 10th.

So it is safe to say that for 3500 views (7days times X 500 pages per day) we have 2 conversions. So for 1750 page views we get 1 subscriber. That’s are current conversion rate. Of course there are a lot of factors to consider:
1. What Traffic Exchanges are we using
2. What ad are you running;
3. How many other people are running similar ads on those exchanges (this might help you or hurt you, we don’t know that yet)

We currently use TrafficHoopla but we also use 5 other traffic exchanges that are outside of Traffic Hoopla to add some diversity to the line-up. We only upgrade under certain criteria which I will be releasing in my own form of Traffic Hoopla.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN
Looking at those numbers you can see why it does not pay to try and advertise multiple programs and multiple sites. If you were running two different ads then you would have gotten 2 people in 14 days, if you were running 4 different ads then you can only expect to get 2 people every 30 days. This is the number one reason people quit MLM. With Traffic Wave you can generate a 5 figure profit by getting only one person signed up per month, which means you need to get 10 people interested for 1 to sign up.

In short if you were running 4 different program pages and wanted to get one sign up it would take you 5 months at the pace of 500 views per day.
So pick your program wisely, stay with it, and surf! If your ad is running out of steam, switch it up. You should be working on new ads or what ever program you are working on should have new ads frequently.

IT’S GOOD TO KNOW THE NUMBERS
The other good thing about knowing the number is, you now KNOW the numbers! if I wanted to get 4 people per week I just need to surf enough credits for 1000 page views per day. OH Man it’s so simple.

If you have an integrated program it like TEProfits you should be able to advertise only that program and everything else should fall into place. TEProfits uses Traffic Hoopla and Traffic Wave so I only need to promote TEProfits, and money is generated from all three programs not to mention surf credits.

With 33 people in my downline I only have to surf 1 hr per day to average 500 page views per day. Can you see how powerful this program is?

Finally 3 blogs are redesigned and one more to go. While we were in the midst of hectic redesigns, we had to shut down our ebay store because we could not handle all the questions, purchasing and packing that have to go on daily to maintain our 100% feedback rating.

LOOK MA! NO HANDS
The great part of Affiliate marketing is that we continued to make money with Traffic Wave! First off, if anyone tells you this stuff is easy – they are lying, but if they say it’s impossible they are also lying. We took a hit in our affiliate earning because some members bailed, but overall things kept growing. We are now at a 33 member downline. A lot of the members are enjoying their 30
day free trials but as soon as that’s over…..booooyah!!

JOHN CHOW BELIEVES IN THE TEPROFIT METHOD!
IF you are a blogger then I’m sure you are familiar with John Chow He has written a post that clearly explains what TEProfit and Traffic Wave is all about. He uses Click Bank as his.....example, and to his point, it can work with any business. The crazy part is the TEProfit system essentially does everything for you! Here are the 7 steps that he outlines:

1. Choose a series of Clickbank products in the same niche to promote
2. Create a free eBook about the niche to give away
3. Create a squeeze page offering the free ebook
4. Send traffic to the squeeze page
5. Capture the lead coming to the squeeze page
6. Deploy email auto responders with the Clickbank products
7. Watch the money rack up in your Clickbank account

This, in a nut shell is the TEProfit system. It’s funny to see the 246 comments on Jim Chow’s post basically praising him as a GOD because of this post. Half of them just want to comment on a post that gets viewed that many times, and the other part really don’t know! He’s a GOD but not for inventing the system, but for promoting it!!

When you use TEProfit you make money from Your Autoresponder, your Traffic Exchange, and your own E-book. That is how the system works. This post is not to sell you on TEProfits, because I have squeeze pages to do that. It’s just to show you that it’s a strong program built on solid reasoning. Really strong, and others are following. You can tweak things in the program to fit your strengths and avoid your weaknessess. You can sell just the TrafficWave program to anyone who runs a business online or offline. Church organizations, book clubs you name it. Anything that would benefit from newsletters and/or periodic updates.

WHAT WE ARE TRYING OUT TODAY:
We have gone down to showing only one splash/capture page with our logo. Our thought process is, that if people see our logo on these pages enough they will know that we are successful and they would be curious enough to at least submitt their email address. This is the first day of running one page. We are averaging currently averaging 1000 views. Hopefully we can get some solid percentage data.

A CRAZY INCREASE IN BLOG TRAFFIC!!

Our team has just become obsessed with blog traffic. We have lived, slept and ate traffic! We went driving during rush hour just so we can sit in traffic! During our obsession we stopped all ebay work, and affiliate marketing because we felt if we increased traffic our sucess with MLM (Traffic Wave and TEProfits) will also increase.

After reading through posts and posts on John Chow.com, TechCrunch.com, Mashable.com and of course Problogger.com we found a bunch of things that begin to work for us.
As a result, we have been able to successfully increase our traffic 4 fold in a month and the month ain't over! Look at May vs April Stats!

Here's exactly what we did, step by step.....Transparency is the key to this blog so we will share. These tactics might appear sleazy, and we are not saying we will continue this practice but here is what we've done. I would suggest cherry picking these activities to taylor what works best for you. Each of these things were done by all three of us so multiply everything by 3!

NAME DROPPING

We looked at Perez Hiltons blog and others like it who mention famous people, that are relevant in the news today and integrated these same names in a post writen about a super popular Tiger Woods story. See post here. We also mention other popular webpages in our posts, sort of.....like this one. In the beginning of the post we mention four huge blog
sites and also reference Perez Hilton (twice now).

Then we go on blog catalog and hit the discussion boards with daily witty commentary. We have been extremely active on our facebook page as well as Blog Catalog and Bloggers.com posting questions and shootin' the shzit about any topic that fit our blogs. Readers of those topics would be interested in our blogs.

COMMENTS COMMENTS and more COMMENTS
For three hours a day we search really good, well structured blogs that get a lot of comments and added our comments and our Urls. Sort of like dropping calling cards for visitors. The key here is relevant sites and well written real commentary. If we read a post and had nothing to add, then we added nothing, but if we could add info, be creative and funny then we left a comment. These comments are searchable and readable so if you are acting like a jackass then no one is going to visit your blog; but if you commentary is complimentary and insightful, people will want to see what you ahve to say.
After that, more comments. We went on the top 25 blogs and commented on those as well.

Phew!

LASTLY - LINK REFERRAL

We are also now ranked #1 on Link Referral for one of our sites and top 20 on the other two.

Link referral has been good to us over the years. The site is pretty nice and it's a good way to get feedback on your blogs, not to mention a couple of hundred unique visitors per month, if you are ranked high enough.
Now we can't say which method is most effective, becasue we did all these things at once, but what we can say is that our ad clickthru rate sucks big hairy gorilla booty!! We got 8000 hits and 5 people clicked on ads. So either the ads are in the wrong place, or the topics aren't that appealing to my audience.

We hope now we have found the secret sauce, if we improve click thrru, we can make some real money and be stomping with the big dogs. Frequent, authentic clever posts should keep the crowds coming back for more.
We are closer then ever! AAhhhhhh....I can smell the money!

Ebay Purple Star Baby!!!

Well, we finally received our Purple Star in Ebay last week. We are getting a lot better with our selection of items and we are definitely glad that we decided to stick to our strategy of selling overseas. The key is small, easy to wrap items already in boxes. That makes the work you have to do as easy as it gets. We have also been very successful with purchasing only a few items and then as they sell, get more. It sounds basic, but trust me; you get so caught up in all of the other aspects of running an Ebay store that you completely forget all of the basics.

A few facts: We are noticing that we get about a 33% feedbacks. We have just hit over 500 and we’ve sold over 1500 items. We also have a 7 day 100% gurantee return policy. Yes, this has bitten us in the ass before but we keep money on the side just in case. Here is what our entire Month of March looked like in terms of money coming in, and profit. Not too bad, but we want to get better.

The key to this site is transparency and we want to be completely open and hones with our posts.

GOING AWAY FOR A FEW DAYS??

Recently I had to go away on business which is always nerve racking because you don’t want to shut down your Ebay store, and we have a 24 hour shipout promise. The key here, is to advertise that you are shipping “Parcel Post”. This way you can make up a day or two by shipping priority. It’s funny it’s always the people who buy the $10 items who make the most noise. During the 3 days I was gone, I sold a digital camera, 2 blood pressure monitors, some wireless headphones, and not one of those customers made a peep. The guy who brought an ankle brace for $9.99 was all over me about shipping.

4 guys spending and average of $70 bucks a pop and not a whisper, the ankle brace guy, “Hey when is my package shipping”. Typically they are from a big city so that explains the aggression.

Now, as soon as they purchase the item, if I can’t ship it the next day, I will send them an email with their expected package arrival date. That satisifieds the need to feel they are being serviced. Then when you get back you can ship the item priority, which is 2-3 business days and you will probably still be better then the date that you provided. Of course if the package is big then kill them with kindess and ship that bad boy parcel Post!!!

RE-DESIGN OF BLOG SITE
So as you can see we pulled a reformat. Why, because we are working with a perfectionist a$$hole that’s why.
We got one negative, or “not so positive” comment on LinkReferral and one of us, known as, the Poor Millionaire (From his blog), made us completely revamp the site. So here it is in all of its splendor, but I must say….WE LOVE IT!!!

Now here was the review we received: “Nice blog but you still need to do some work to it to make it really shine through.”

Granted we just gave this guy a ton of traffic, but the nerve of some reviewers. But then again, we thank him for helping us Step UP our Game.

TRAFFIC EXCHANGE STUDY SUCKS!!
Ok, now the bad news! We have been running an experiment to see how many pages you will have to surf on a Traffic Exchange to get just 1 subscription. We have been getting like 4 or 5 every other day until we decide to run this experiment and get zero! Zilch! Nada!!! How the f#$k are we going to make a million dollars if we can’t even build up our downlines – not to mention; we are using one of, if not the best programs in the business.

So after reading through all of the great information in our programs via email etc. we decided that we are not using our Traffic Exchanges enough. We have unique Splash Pages which should get the attention we need. We will now double our searching efforts and hope that pays off.

You know, it’s annoying to see other bloggers and on line money people getting paid. There’s a couple of images of these guys holding up huge checks.
Some notables are Plenty of Fish Founder Marcus, Schoemaker and Joel. It makes it look like these guys just fell into it, but they worked hard and we are working hard to, so our time will come.

USING ONLINE CLASSIFIEDS
We also started posting our Free Report ads on job boards so hopefully that will spark some clicks. We are using an Ad Tracker (That’s free with Traffic Wave) and it tells you how many clicks your ad gets, the average views per day, and average cost if it’s a paid ad. You can’t beat that. We will use this Ad Tracker information to provide our data for the subscribers.

Starting to see our Traffic Exchange Pay Off!!!

We are almost ready to reveal our study of Traffic Engines. We should know exactly how many pages surfed, and how many signups are gained as a result. We hope to have these posted by Good Friday, if not, we will get to it by Easter weekend.

We are starting to notice what is met by “Stacked Income”. That's the free book that you get when you sign up for TEProfits. I had all of the FTB bloggers read through it but we took it very loosely at first. Now we are starting to see the benefits and what is meant by multiple streams of income. As part of TEProfits they have you join Traffic Hoopla. Traffic Hoopla is a list of the most popular Traffic Exchanges and they let people sign up under you in each exchange. So every time someone signs up under you and upgrades you get as much as 50% of that money. Well check this out:

You can see, that in High hits I have 3 direct referrals. That's it, only 3. Those 3 people in my down line have gotten 7 people amongst them and they earn me surf credits and commissions of $22.00 so far! That’s nothing to sneeze at! They are upgrading every month and we are getting money from those upgrades. That money along with the Traffic Wave checks will be coming in every month!! Traffic Hoopla's goal is to get that kind of money and that kind of downline in all 20 of its listed top traffic exchanges. We are now starting to see the compilation of money coming from all aspects of the TEP Program. It’s the shzit when you really think about.

We have still been trying to review other programs and still haven't found anything that compares. We will only promote one program, but we are willing to report out on any good programs we find. Like we said before, we are sticking with this because it's a business and you wouldn't open up a business just to shut it down in a few months.

However, if someone else is truly running another program and would like to submit blog postings on their actual progress we would love that, or we could link to your blog. We will also run your banners; not in our Traffic Exchanges but in our blogs. Only open and honest, no embellishments of millions of dollars in 30 days!

We are pumped! We are were starting to learn a thing or two about Traffic Exchanges and how powerful they can be.

First I would say, just be careful about anything that says “Make Money Fast”. That means that they are trying to razzle and dazzle you, get you to join and then the company will disappear.

Now that our FTB blogs have grown in popularity people have been contacting us to join their programs. Nope! That would be like starting a business and then popping open another business right next to the one I just started. Like having a Subway and then opening up a Quiznos across the street, and trying to run them both with the same people and the same operating capital!

I would be competing with myself.

Tuesday a guy emailed us and said, “I love what you guys are doing and I would love to have you join my downline”. The program was $256!!! So I asked, “Would it be possible that you pay our way in and once we make profit we will give you the $256 back”. I knew he was going to say no, he himself didn’t know if the company would be around long enough……Think about that.

Traffic Wave gives you a 30 day free trial (they know they are going to be around so they are not trying to take your money!!) and TEP Profits is a one time $10 fee. If you have a program that can beat that……we will join, but for now we have opened up our TEP Business and we are working the crap out of it. A Virtual Subway Baby! Pushing these online $5 footlongs!!

I bet that guy has to just land two big fish to break even – in this economy I have to think that $256 is hard to come by!! Another thing I would say is not to join any program without a forced matrix – this way if you have a good sponsor, he will help you fill up your first level – then you will be 100% completely done with out of pocket expenses. My sponser Mike (from Ask Mike the Mentor.com) is one of the best. FTB bloggers will provide the same level of support.

TRAFFIC EXCHANGES LESSONS LEARNED IN 60 DAYS
If you are using TEP (Which I highly recommended) or any other traffic Exchange enabled business, you know that those credits are equivalent to money. You can’t spread them around. Your ads have to be shown in front of the right customer at the right time which means the more you run the ad, the better your odds are of being at the right place at the right time.

Oh..the other super sweet thing we learned this week, is that with Traffic Wave’s Ad Tracker; if you are set up in 10 Traffic Exchanges using the Ad Tracker web address Tracking URL, you can just update the 1 base url in Traffic Wave and it will change the page in all 10 Traffic Exchanges. How Sweet is that!!!

The goal with TEP and Traffic Wave is to get 1 sign up every 30 days. That’s it, and this week we got two people who at least requested information. It took us 3 weeks to get 1 person before, so we are improving.

SURFING (X) PAGES = (Y) LEADS
OK so here’s what we are going to do now – as you see we get more and more into this every week. We are going to calculate how many page views we get total and how many signups that translates into on a weekly basis. This way I can tell my visitors,

“Hey I know surfing sucks, but if you surf 10000 credits per day then you will
get “X” many sign-ups.”

Once people sign up I send them a quick personal email. Every sign up is a big deal, and a chance to meet someone who is of the same mindset that you are in. He or she might know a thing or two and we can help each other out. That’s why I like facebook! The guy I signed up under…we were talking about hooking up when I go to Florida and having a few beers, next it will be Vegas and then Europe! Ok sorry I got a little carried away, but you really stay in the game by contacts and talking to people through email and making connections.

EBAY UPDATE – FRIDAY MARCH 12, 2010

Wow, It’s been a super busy week for all 3 of us super bloggers.
The screwed up part is that we haven’t had time to surf in our Traffic Exchange so we haven’t been able to get any referrals, or post any new blog posts.

The good part is, Ebay has picked up! We are leaving out last weeks profits in our ebay calculation because…..well because I didn’t log them into the sheet. Things got so hectic last week that I just barely had enough time to process my orders and get them out the door in the 24 hrs. that I promise!!

This week we grossed $330.48 and $75.37 of that was profit. Not too bad! I wish I could tell you what the difference was between this week and last week, but honestly I have no freakn’ clue. One week we are hopping and the next week we are dropping.

I don’t promote the Ebay store at all so we might start running promotions on this blog.

We are going to start paying ourselves now that our Ebay profits are getting chunky! We will take half of the profit and roll the other half. So this week we got ourselves $37 bucks! Whoo hooo!!!! Yeah!

WE FINALLY SPENT MONEY ON ADS!

Recruiting is slow, but we expect that as we build our brand and a name for ourselves in this space.

We’ve had some great debates regarding our assessment of the Power Bar Club. Again, I just don’t think that the bang is there for the buck. We want to build up a loyal readership and we want our word to count. Signing up for anything and everything just doesn’t make business since to us so we have to be extremely selective. These things are like business enterprises and there is a lot of time spent promoting, surfing posting ads etc, so I want to make sure we don’t’ recommend something that is going to waste any time.

FIRST SPEND ON ADVERTISING
We made our first spend on advertising. We paid into Traffic Hoopla for $19.99. For that we will get 5 guaranteed sign ups. We think that is money well spent. Each signup will theoretically join the 20 traffic exchange sites that you are signed up for. So essentially for $20 we get 100 referrals, 5 per each traffic exchange. That’s guaranteed – so we don’t even have to work for it. That’s like paying 20 Cents per referral. Each time that person surfs, we get surf credits! So we will be paying that $19.99 every single month for at least the next 4 months . That will be 400 Traffic Exchange Referrals. That’s Power!!!

The FTB Bloggers are turning into a powerful force so therefore we want to make sure that anything that we recommend is solid otherwise we will become watered down just like almost every other blog and program that claims to make money.

BANNERS FOR OUR DOWNLINE
As our 3 blogs gain popularity we are finding the Link referral type banners at the top of each blog as pretty damn effective. So if you join TEP Profits under us, or TrafficWave under us, we will run a banner on all three of our sites for you, for 4 days. That banner will rotate every four days to someone one in our downline. We will mail out an excel file with your name on a list and notify you that when we are running your banner. Depending on how well we are doing with Traffic Hoopla we might also add the same page in our Traffic Exchange for 4 days.

IF YOUR SIGN UPS DON’T MAKE MONEY – THEY WILL QUIT
If we sign you up and you don’t make money, then you quit. So we are here to help you get it started the best way we know how. We are now on Facebook as well where we can bang around ideas, etc.

We are really starting to get the hang of this stuff and we are loving every minute of it, not to mention meeting a lot of great people. We just need to make more money!!! We are a far cry from a million bucks!!!

Power Bar Club - Not Worth Our Time

Well Well Well, Here is a wrap up of our last week.

Ebay sales were down dramatically, which happens. I used to start worrying, and lowering prices to get a sale or two but now I've learned to just go with the flow and weather the storm. Everything sales eventually.

...but that's not what we want to talk about. We want to talk about The PowerBar Club. We thought this was the Cat's Ass. Why? Well because it takes $0.00 investment. How can you lose when a system doesn't cost you anything.

Well I can tell you, you can lose time. Powerbar Club would like you to download their bar and click on ads. Then get 5 friends to do the same thing. Sound familiar? Yep, it like clixsense and all the other PPC sites. The problem with that is, you sign people up, they click for a few days and see their earnings grow to a whopping $.25. Then they stop clicking and you have to keep recruiting to earn anything. Even the best of the best recruiters only earn chump change.

We can't recommend a program that I already know SUCKS!!! We did some research and actually found a lady who recruited 700 members under her. 700!! She only earned $50 in 3 months. The ads pay $.003, they keep promising $.10 ads but you burn up your recruits while waiting for the big money ads. Once we read $50 from 700 recruits, we were out!! We have concluded that any program that makes you money, is going to require some start up cost, or a good product or both. TEP Profit is still the best of the best. It uses Traffic Wave, which has a forced matrix and tons of support. We've recruited only 2 people and I'm making a steady $16.95 per month, thanks to my upline filling in my empty spots. If you sign under me, and I keep recruiting you will get my recruits because my spots are filled.

Dear Online Money Diary Day 35......

22FEB2010 - ONLINE TOTAL = $406.84

Ok, so another week has gone by and really we learned a few things:

1. SURFING ON TRAFFIC EXCHANGS SUCK! SUCK SUCK! But it has to be done for now.

2. WE ARE KILLING IT ON EBAY!! WE made another $135.32 of profit!!

3. We added another program – but one with absolutely NO INVESTMENT EVER!!!! How can you go wrong??

4. We need a community of people for success.

BUILIDING A MILLION DOLLAR COMMUNITY
A community is numero uno. With a community you can get people who all believe in what you are trying to do an support you. The super cool thing about Traffic Wave is that there is spillover. We can only sign up so many people then it starts spilling over to those who signed up under us. How sweet is that.

Then with different Traffic Exchange programs you actually have rotators. So I can take three banners from my downline and rotate them so they get free sign ups. It benefits me because we all make money. For instance I already have 3 signups under me in Traffic Hoopla so if.... I am getting more traffic then someone who just started, but their success is my success so I will pop them into my rotator so they are exposed to my Traffic as well.

Then community members can share what is working, what’s not working and so forth. I figured Facebook would be the best place to try and build. Right now I’m only a fan with myself, but I’m sure other people will join.

This whole entire internet marketing is about making connection, meeting people and making money. No that sounds like a fun job!!!

We are thinking about using some of our Ebay money to join a program that costs money or to promote our existing programs. We are still decidind. WE are also going to start running ads on craigslist and other free sites like that to see if we can get people signing up for Power Bar. It’s freeeeee dammit.

I can’t believe people aren’t jumping all over it.

Dear Online Money Diary Day 22...

Ok day 22 of the blog and day 60 of traffic wave and we got paid.
Yeah it's only $16.95, but that $16.95 is for ever. So we can stop RIGHT NOW, and still get our $16.95 per month. Now we need that $16.95 to be hundreds. I can just imagine...if we got that to $400 that would be like a car payment and insurance. That would be great!! And it's a lot less work, so far, then ebay. But ebay is still good money!! ($256 to date).

So here is how we are spending our time between the three of money making endeavors:

AFFILIATE MARKETING: 7 hrs per week
We are using Traffic Hoopla to advertise our pages on Traffic Exchanges. We do this about 1 hr. per day. How do traffic exchanges work:
A Traffic Exchange program allows its members to surf on programs for a specific time frame ranging from 10 to about 40 seconds. During this short surfing session, the viewer has to click a button of a number, picture or any other item as specified by the program before another site can be visited.

Honestly it's boring as hell. You see the same pages over and over, but occasionally you see something new. The most important thing is... that you are earning credits. You have to do it, you have to. I think this is the point where people fail. They surf on the exchanges for a week, see no result and quit. You have to do it relentlessly - So far we are getting about 1 Free Trial Signup per week. It seems like a super low return, but the conversion rate is very high.

That is about 5 hours per week. The other two hours we spend just tooling around on the internet reading Traffic Wave forums, chat rooms etc. We are trying to learn as much about MLM as we can.

EBAY: 15 hours / week
We are spending by far, the most time on Ebay. The tasks have to happen in a time critical fashion. Items HAVE to ship quickly, emails HAVE to go out daily and questions have to be answered. This is not a business for anybody. Customers are pissed and you have to address them emotion-less. This is a real business, a difficult business; something that takes patience time and some people skills. A negative feedback can be devastating so you are always protecting against that. It sucks becaus there is no retaliation to a negative feedback. The seller is powerless so you go into every sale with the mindset of "Pleasing the Customer".

BLOGGING: 4 hours / week
We are spending only a few hours per week but we are making next to nothing. This is more of a hobbie then a business. We know blogs make tons of money but we have been so busy with everything else that we haven't had time to finish promoting so bascially we just keep posting because we love it! When other things are working better, then we will push on promotion.

STEPS 1-4! NOW LET'S EARN!!!

Wow! We continue to make a killing on Ebay but we think collectively thta affiliate marketing is where we will make the long term streams of income, so here we are with Steps 1-4.

SETTTING UP OUR AUTORESPONDER
These steps basically consists of setting up your Traffic Wave Autoresponder. I have to say it’s pretty sweet. What this thing really does, is delivers a series of emails to someone on your email list at given time intervals that you set up yourself. It’s like when you put your name and address into a website and they send you free information. Then every so often you get follow up emails. Now YOU are that person. You can get people to put their name in your info box, or “capture” page and they will receive the emails that you load in the Autoresponder.

The best part of Traffic Wave is that they give you a gang of letters to load right of the bat! These letters will sell your Traffic Wave business.

Steps 1-4 are actually spelled out in detail through the TEP back office.

Anyone that tells you that this doesn’t take time is lying! Depending on how computer savvy you are, it will take you.....about 1-3 hours to set up. The good part is that it isn’t hard at all. The instruction material is easy to read and follow, and it’s easy to check your results by signing up yourself in the auotresponder and checking to see if you receive emails. Not to mention my up-line mentor is the best. This guy knows the ends and outs of this Traffic Wave business! (Mike the Mentor)

HOW MANY HOURS
Along with the money that we are calculating we have also started to keep track of time put in. So far last week setting up our Autoresponder and Traffichoopla accounts we put in about 3 hours. Then we put in about 2 hrs. surfing on traffic exchanges. We will get more into that as we go on, but the searching actually earns you credits, which you use to advertise your OBA business, your TEP Business, and your Traffic Wave business. It all comes together pretty sweet.

MORE STUDYING
We have more studying to do, to really learn how to earn. There is a ton of information in Traffic Wave that we have not read yet, so we will read through it so we can be knowledgeable for people who sign up under us.

Phew!! All this work….we are sure it will pay off. When have you ever worked hard, and not got back what you deserved? ?

....and THE WINNER IS TEP (Traffic Exchange Profits) Ok, we are done selecting our programs. This is huge because we have to believe in what we are doing otherwise this blog becomes just like the others...a waste of space!

NO ON-LINE SURVEYS
We have ruled out Cashcrate, because it takes too long to earn your $10.00, (which would have me earn my $3.00). I shouldn't say too long but there is too much bull$#it involved in earning only $.50. Clicking this, clicking that. It's not as straightforward as it appears, so we're out.

The challenge we face in Affiliate marketing is finding a program and product that is not going to kill your pockets trying to get it started. If I'm looking to make money, I'm not going to spend $294 for some crazy affiliate program that is going to give you the exact same support as Traffic Exchange Profits!

Traffic Exchange Profits
We have done a lot of research and TEP is legit and out of pocket expenses are under $20 bucks. What TEP does is sells an ad space and then an autoresponder and has you promote the Autoresponder on Traffic Exchanges. This blog is not trying to sell you into this program more then tell you what we are doing and how successful it is.

We are going to take this slow - although we have already done steps 0 thru 4 ourselves....and have earned a total of $14.43 in Traffic Exhange upgrades!

STEP 0
In order for Traffic Exchange Profits to work it helps if you have a business, and they sell you a business for $5.00! This is where Online Business Alliance comes in. OBA basically sells you the exclusive rights to sell a bunch of e-books online. Yep! So for $5 bucks I got myself not only a copy of the books for myself, but I can resell all them...as many times as I want and keep the money for myself. How sick is that....and it's legit.

Ebay - Ship Overseas or Not?

The question for today is overseas or not overseas? Hmmm….with the dollar dropping like it;s hot, overseas sales have been H-U-G-E. Sometimes these guys (or gals) overseas will pay more for shipping then for the item. The issue is, “What do you do if they don’t receive their item?” GULP!

In the US, I get tracking numbers on every shipment and watch everything get delivered right to the person’s doorstep. Overseas we track it to the country and that’s it. Who knows what happens then. In Nigeria, do they have mailmen with little Nigerian mail men suits, with the mail men shorts, driving a Nigerian Mail truck. I don’t know?

Feedback is always the main concern. You ship something overseas and the guy says, “I never received it”. Now what. You risk getting... a negative feedback if you don’t return 100% of his money. I know that’s crazy but the way ebay has the feedback set up now, you as the seller are screwed! These buyers have no idea how severe a negative feedback really is.

Friday, I get an email from this dude in Turkey. He ordered an electronic cheese grater. Either my deal was so sweet, or there are just no cheese graters in Instanbul! I sold this puppy for $18 bucks and he paid $18 in shipping. What happens if he never received it? Well he didn’t. He ordered this thing on Dec. 17th! So boom, I had to give him a full refund. So now I’m out $24 bucks (my real cost plus shipping and ebay fees). I returned his $36 on Saturday. Margins are already razor thin so I was pissed, not pissed because it wasn’t his fault but I was disappointed.

What happens if that’s an Ipod? How do you rectify this? I could have been out a couple of hundred dollars. You can make a claim on the insurance but that is a lot of effort! For a cheese grater? Probaby not, but for an Ipod, you bet your sweet ass I would.

I’m definitely open for suggestions. In the mean time, I stash ½ of the profits to set up a refund fund. If I exceed what’s in the refund fund then I stop overseas shipping. But for now it’s a go. 1 in every 5 sales is global so for now - I got to get that cheese.

The third leg of building our multi-million dollar empire online is MLM or affiliate marketing. We think there is potential here, but in order to tap into this potential you need to develop a loyal following and have a great product. We have been working with Traffic Wave for a little while but before we start down that path again…we figured we need to take a deeper look to see if they truly do have the best program.

FRUSTRATION
I have literally been searching through 100’s of opportunity’s online and they all just flat out suck. They either all sound....
the same, or make claims that are just ridiculous. If you are telling me I can make $5000 in one month then you have just pushed me away.

You are a liar and I have no interest of being a part of your bogus program. Then there are tons of blogs, claiming to be like ours, but not! Not by a long shot. They are just cookie cutting the same crap & crappy articles over and over. It looks like they have fresh postings but they don’t. They just copy and paste the html code into a new date so that it looks like they are keeping their blog current. That’s not how we roll. We roll with fresh insight and good information from first hand experience. IF we lose money then we say we lost money. If we make $10 or $100 you will know that as well.

Our blog is a journey. We want it to be a chronological depiction of how it takes to go from $0.00 to $1,000,000.00. WE have personalities, passion and flare. We will not fall into the trap of lying to our readers to capture them in our MLM schemes because then they simply will not come back!!! Come-on, you know that as well as I do. We are not in a race to see how many dummies we can get hooked, we are trying to make a million and to do that what we don’t need are dummies.

ADVANCED EBAY - PRICING YOUR ITEMS

Ebay – Advanced Techniques Only

On this site we are only going to discuss advance Ebay techniques only. The reason being, there are a gazillion (…and that’s a lot) of sites where they give you the basic ebay tutorial. Buy crap at garage sales, clean the stuff, take pictures….zzzzz..zzzz…Oh sorry, I dosed off. None of this information serves the ebay user who is trying to make some real money.

Just to make sure you are at the right place, this site is for people trying to make REAL MONEY!! We are real guys doing real things. We can’t be more honest.

In order to properly tackle such a big topic such as ebay in the detail that’s needed to help our readers it has to be done in bits. Today’s “bit” is regarding how to price your items. No one tells you that you can get burnt, big time by pricing your items the wrong way. We run two eBay sites, and we are PowerSellers on both sites. Branding is important so we have a cute logo, and we sell a lot of diverse items to help drive traffic from various places. Power Sellers either sell $1000 worth of merchandise per month, or 300 items per month so we kinda sort of know what we are talkin’ bout!

PRICING
In the beginning we used to wonder why after Ebay hit us with the monthly charge, was our PayPal account not swollen the way we needed it to be. The issue was, we were losing money with each sale. Our initial strategy was to just try and sell stuff for a few more dollars then we paid for it. What we didn’t realize was that there are a ridiculous amount of fees associated, and the mark up has to be considerable to make any kind of real profit.
Here are a list of fees that need to be considered with each sale:
1. Sales Tax
2. Listing Fee
3. Pay Pal Fee (approx. 7%)
4. Est. Actual Shipping Cost
5. ebay commission (approx 11%)

The addition of items 1 thru 5 represents your total out of pocket expense. It represents the minimum amount of money that you will have to get out of the buyer just to break even. If you purchased an item for $10 you would have to sell it for approximately $20.03 to cover your costs. That $20.03 can be divided into $15 for the product and $5.03 for shipping, $20.03 with free shipping, or any other creative way that you would like to break up the cost.

Items 1 thru 5 are estimated on the high side, and the more money you have for shipping the lower your ebay fee will be, but higher shipping costs will get you penalized in your buyer ratings so that becomes a delicate dance.

To ease things we created a pretty sweet excel sheet. When we are looking to purchase items from a wholesaler we pop the purchase cost in the sheet and out pops are potential sell price. If it looks like we can sell it to Joe Public for that price, and it’s comparable to other ebay stores, we go for it.

Blogging for Money - A Narrative

Blogging

Today we are talking about blogging and how extremely difficult it is to make money from blogging. We have had over 10,000 hits on all of our blogs combined and it's only earned us $16.00. See Photo from our Google Adsense Account (Every single claim on this site will be supported). Our other source of income is from Amazon.com of which we have earned a total of zero dollars. No need to show a photo of the $0.00 total.

Sot the questions that need to be answered are:

1. How do we drive more traffic to our blogs

2. How do we get people to click on adsense and Amazon ads

3. How do we get the cool little nifty icons for twitter, facebook etc at the end of our posts.

To answer these questions we turned to the internet (of course). The first thing that pops up is http://www.seomoz.org/blog/21-tactics-to-increase-blog-traffic.

Since it's first in Google we figure this guy must know what he's talking about right? He gives 21 tips for increasing blog traffic. Great. 3 Freakin' blogs times 21 things means we have 63 tasks!

Ok nothing to it, but to do it. We will do all 21 of these things for all three sites and see if that increases our traffic. One thing that has already worked already is using Link Referral.

This is a site where you visit and review sites and in return people review and visit your site. A little better then a traffic exchange because the reviews actaully encourage people to stop and visit. We have been working hard to get our sites ranked higher and higher every day. OK, now the first 3 of the 21 are super easy and consider them done. Here they are:

1. Choose the Right Blog Software (or Custom Build)
2. Host Your Blog Directly on Your Domain
3. Write Title Tags with Two Audiences in Mind

So steps 1 and 2 are easy because we are blogger blogers and that's not going to change. We looked at Wordpress and we are not creating a blog from scratch. So that's 2 steps down, and one to go (for this post at least). Step 3 - Will do. I've changed this title to a short stragiht to the point title, and will create titles for the other two sites with these tips in mind.

Today is the first day that we are re-trying this experiment. When I say "we" I'm referring to a few guys who are just plain tired of working in cubes (well one of us has an office) all day.

We want two things:
1. To be our own boss

2. To be Rich!!!

Who doesn't want these two things Right. The difference is that we are three of the most focused, driven guys that I have ever meant. We have diverse backgrounds and Obama could take lessons from us on how to manage stress. The plan is to use this blog to keep a journal of all the ways we are able to make money online. Daily and Weekly Tallies of our results will be posted to keep our fans updated on our progress.

We are not new to this online money stuff, but we know now what works and what doesn't work.

WHAT WORKS:

ebay- we have an online gift store. We are bronze powersellers. We will talk about how we get merchandise, what are margins are and how much effort it takes to bring in an eBay prfit.

Affiliate Programs - we will attempt to build a following with affiliate programs. We have invested in a few and so far we have learned a lot, meant a lot of nice people and now this is where the rubber hits the road.

Blogging - we have a total of 3 blogs. This one http://www.paypaltoprofits.blogspot.com/, http://www.richornothing.blogspot.com/ and http://www.takeourballsback.blogspot.com/. We will attempt to amass blog followings for all three blogs and earn revenue, if possible for our blog sites.

We will be talking about these 3 ways to make money online. We are our own boss' and we are starting today at $0.00. However - we do have a few things already in place. We are already involved in a few Affiliate programs and we have a substantial amount of Ebay inventory which to sell from. There will be proof of everything that is stated on this blog with no embellishing what so ever.

So that's our introduction.
